Finally decided to build a log splitter.

At one time say back in the seventies they made some wood splitters that would cycle all the way down and back with one trip of the handle. After a few hands got crushed they stopped making them that way on their Lawyers advice. You want hands on positive control anytime a block is between the ram and wedge and the ram is closing.

ok Next Question: I have the hydraulic reservoir 15 Gallon I assume it doesn't matter if I bring the return back on the same side as the suction or not (still separated by the baffle)
