You're supposed to use the box blade to level the yard, not the cutter!

I haven't had a chance to call them yet. How much did they cost ya if you don't mind me asking.

Not sure of whose post you're asking about, but if it's about the cutter I bought...$1060.00 including tax. This was in south central PA.

If it's about the Quick Hitch..can't help you.

Roy,
I think he meant the price on the Easy Change System that GaryM bought.

Hi,

Pat's easy change system is $180 + $15 shipping. Got the package to the St. Louis area in two days. I had intended to do the install last weekend, but it was raining and the tractor's outside. Maybe this weekend.

There was some discussions about sway and the fact that the hooks won't line up in the lower pins as well as the normal ball ends will. And this might be a consideration with a high power machine. But I have a JD 4100 and I'm sure I won't have any problems. I'm anxious to get them installed as I need to change from the cutter to the box blade. And I need to mount a borrowed PHD in a week or two.

You are correct Jerry, I was questioning about the easy change system. Guess I should have specified. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I was also kind of concerned about not having an over running clutch on my PTO. I've heard cutter blade inertia can drive the tractors. No problem...but I'll get that over running clutch very soon.

I am up on the X70 series JD's like I should, but does your 670 have a live PTO or 2 Stage Clutch? If so then you do not need the over-running clutch. They are only needed on tractor without built in over run couplers or tractor that do not have live PTO or 2 stage clutches.
