Are your dealers the ONLY place to buy filters and other common maintenance items? JESUS!!!!! You would think there was an online source for all parts tractor. OMG!!! WHY does it have to be so hard!!! Rant over. B.

There should be lots of online cross reference guides; Baldwin Filters comes to mind as a great source. If all else fails, I have printed books that have all applications for drive belts, bearings and seals, as well as a bunch of filter and spark plug books from different brands.

My last ones i got from napa. Also oreillys carries some of them or can be cross referenced.

I tried a cross for Napa and O'Reileys and neither shows a cross for the engine or hydraulic oil filters using the factory part numbers. AND, by application O'Reileys doesn't show anything at all and Napa shows SOME stuff but nothing for direct application. Napa has a reference for a 4520C, but not for a 4520R. Frustrating. B.

To get something from the local auto parts store, you'll probably have to go the back way, by finding filters on an industrial supplier site like Baldwin or Wix, then finding the common brand equivalent of them that the store would carry.
Neither site would deep link to the specific page, but they do have the relevant filters.

Do NOT cross your hydraulic filter with a Napa. Just did that, and its 100% a restriction, made my pump scream, it was terrible. I just changed it again for the Baldwin cross, and it is fine. I couldnt get my hands on an OEM at the time, but thats the best option.

As far as fuel or engine oil filter, you can cross to anything you like.

Thanks for the info guys. I ordered the two filters from Dave's. When I get them I will try and compare them to the other brands. It seems like the hydro filter is the picky one. B.

Just bought oil and filter for 200 hour on mx. Dealer told me because of warranty issues, you must use oem.

That sounds like lawyer talk to me but, i bought 2 gallons of kubota motor oil and their filter, $55.

I did see some guy on u tube cut open a Fram and kubota oil filter and there was a significant difference. Question is, does it make any difference?
