I had a friend in Dessert Storm. He was the only one nearby rated for connecting the external carry sling of a chinook (helicopter in photo). Someone in his company got a HUMVEE STUCK!. Like in basically quicksand up over the tires. They couldn't find anything down far enough to get a line to it to yank it out with a tank. So he hooked it up to the chinook, and they popped it out. Problem was the suction was greater than the undercarriage to frame connection. The tires and axles stayed in the quicksand. I guess they got most of their hummer back. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I can just see turning that back in to the motor pool.

What did you decide to do on your jack situation or winching or what...?
