ferrari 72 tiller

Does anyone have any information about the Ferrari 72 tiller. I have found one which I believe was a rental unit from the 70's. It has frozen controls and is a non-runner with the 3ld 510 lombardini diesel. The tiller hood is also in need of welding. The gentleman would like $750 for it with a purpose built trailer. Oh it also has bad tires. Any opinions or help would be much appreciated. Thanks

That seems like an awful lot of money for a unit that, as a rental, has been worked hard - and is non-operational. Additionally, there aren't ready sources of spare parts. I think I'd pass on that money-pit and look for something that is a little less rare. All the best . . .

Ferrari still makes the larger tractors, the 2 wheel line became BCS. I bought one of those BCS / Ferrari a few years ago, it has the Ferrari prancing horse logo on the main casting. Rarely use, just like to say I have a Ferrari, LOL.
