Ferguson FF30 injectors

A simple test is> take an injector out & hook it back up, outside the engine..& crank the engine & SEE if its spraying/opening.
DO NOT get near the spray.. IT WILL penetrate your skin & its a trip to the hospital for blood poisoning. NOT FUN..
Did u ever get the correct opening pressure?? 2500psi "might be" to hi..
Did u check the other injector opening pressure??
After that> its time for a compression test..
BUT IF you've BEEN starting it w/ ether, its probably to late..

I did wonder if 2500psi might be too high possibly only working after ether applied continuously. The original pressure may have been below 2,000 I have a 20tea that I could check from. The main problem was the smoke which was diesel and now is oil based - next stage will be an engine rebuild as spares are so cheap.

Just reduced the pressure to 1400psi which is what the tef20 had. Starts and runs much better. Can you find the correct setting?
I phoned Agriline products in UK and they said the pressure should be 2400 psi. Does that mean that the pump is worn out?
I havent tried your suggestion yet.

I cant find my book.. but 1400 sounds awful low..
I would set'm at 1800 & see what that does..

I just been told by a rebuilder that the TE20 (20c) is 120ats and the FF30 (23c) is 135ats. (1763 & 1983psi) You were very close.
It appears that I have some work to do.
