I found this disc yesterday for sale up the road from me for $300. It has bent lever assembly's but working ok. It has a broken spacer spool piece and axle looks to be bent slightly on rear gang. Front gang has something loose or broke on inside between disc and bearing allowing disc to wobble. The 3pt hitch needs welded back up on back left where the round tube ties in to the flat piece of iron. I don't know how the bearings are either.

He used the disk like that last fall and said it still worked great:scratchchin: What are the odds of this disc being straight enough to fix as it sits without getting to deep into cost of repairing you all think? Should I keep looking for a better treated disc also and save myself from frustration? And last, I really wanted a #25 disc harrow but have read that the #22 was the original and later it was called #25, truly being same disc, is that true or not?

Thank you all in advance.

Removing the axle nuts from an old Disc Harrow can be an epic task. I would not pay more than scrap iron price considering work that will be required.

Generic parts for 3-Pt. Tandem Disc Harrows are available, with Agri Supply being the best source. Parts specific to towed/pulled Disc Harrows, not generic parts, may be very difficult.

Having said this, Ferguson (brand) implements, new, were among the best in their day.

Ferguson brand equipment preceded Massey-Ferguson equipment. Massey-Ferguson arrived when Ferguson sold his business to Massey-Harris and the company name was changed to Massey-Ferguson.

The 22's are a great disc. I have one myself. But, that seems pretty pricey for the condition it's in. I've seen two of them sell at auction within the last year for less than $300, and were work ready. By the time a dealer buy's one, seems the price goes to $700-$800 though.

Do know the bearing are made of wood, and still available here: Replacement Wood Bearings for Disc Harrows, Cultipackers & Other Farm Equipment | Woodex I have no idea on the price.

I had mine apart a couple years ago to build up the square shoulder end of the axle. A 50/50 mix of Acetone, and ATF make a great penetrate, and heating the nut to a dull red is a big help to get them off. A large pipe wrench on a spool, I used a 3/4 drive breaker bar with a cheater on the nut will get them loose. Once loose, they came right off.
