I don't know about the L4400, but mine were broken off when I got my tractor used. They had been replaced with amber ones from Fleet Farm (Peterson mfg). To replace them on my BX2230 was going to cost $80 a side. At Fleet Farm it cost me about $8 a side.
The wiring is different however because the Petersons have 2 elements and the wires are both hot going in with the mount being the ground. I have found that the ground through my ROPS is worthless and I had to wire a bit more, but it was a whole lot cheaper.
I don't know for sure how the Kubota's are wired, but whoever put mine on didn't read the Peterson box.

I'm sure there's a plug. If you don't mind doing a little work I'm sure you could get some heat shrink tubing and cut the plug off the factory light and use an aftermarket option for savings (may make sense if you think you're at risk of breaking another one (or two).
It bugs me that the lights are the shape they are. If they were square and aerodynamic so branches would simply slide over the top of them it would be a much better design IMO.

I have come real close to knocking mine off several times! When it happens I will be sure to wire in some cheaper alternatives that look the same. Peterson has been making lighting products for forever.

I have loosened my lights doing exactly the same. So far they have not broken. The mounts are not threaded like my old Massey so that you could screw a nut on. If I have to replace mine I will look for that kind to remount thru the fender.
