how about the dept, im not worried about animals knocking it down but i am worried about the snow/frost doing crazy things to it.
would 2 ft deep packed with gravel and modified be fine?

I am placing a Top strand at 48" of black lightning wich is "HOT" And then 3 strands placed 12' apart. That will leave 14" from bottom strand to the ground. Some people use 5 strands, but there fence is usually 52 - 57" tall.

Since I've got horses I put my line posts 32" deep and my end posts 48" deep for a 5' no climb + flexrail (like Centaur, but mine's from RAMM) fence. The gravel sounds lovely until you realize that getting holes 32" deep is tricky enough, let alone another 6" for gravel.

In my case, I have fairly high groundwater and I was concerned that adding gravel would actually encourage water to settle at the bottom of my posts anyway. So the line posts are just backfilled and tamped soil, and the end posts are concrete bottoms with tamped soil over.
