hired my neighbor to cut this dead standing Poplar while i operated the tractor bucket braced on the tree. glad i knew when to ask for help, note the angled cut and lack of a notch hinge on opposite side. he did this way to prevent kickback and direction of the fall. perfect landing.
for 100 cash and 45 min of work, sometimes pays to err to an expert on a job like this.

the M series has been an ideal match for the 128 ac estate. a sub/compact for a job like this would be out to the question.

best regards

I've felled a few trees in my day, but problem trees and non standard cuts are outta my league. Always a good idea to have another (or expert) opinion when in doubt.

i agree, i hadn't tackled something this big in a confined space. i would not of thought of an angled cut & lack of notch hinge. the fel bucket was the other successful component to put it down where we wanted.
