Ballast FEL use with no ballast

OK, next cheap option, 3pt drawbar

Those things are scary. 3PH don't usually have down pressure. I tried one once witha trailer load of wood and had to stop quick. The trailer tonge jerked the drawbar upward and changed my center of gravity. I was going downhill and it wasn't pretty. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I'd thought of that, too, but figured one good reason I couldn't do it was enough. On the positive side, if you do want to use that method all you need to do is attach a chain from your drawbar up to it to eliminate the 'bounce' you mentioned. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good idea. I hadn't thought of that. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I was reading one of your past posts on ballast box weight, And was wondering on how much weight do you say you have in your ballast box, I'm getting ready to build my own and was wondering how heavy should I make it .
