Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

F-22, Got the toothbar thru Johnson's Auto (Scott) thru this list. He is a Mahindra Dealer up north (I'm in VA obviously). Scott deals with an outfit in NC named J R Long. They manufacture to your specs. I got the Heavy Duty with pinned replacable teeth. Hope I see it soon. I spoke with the place I had it shipped and they were going out to get it yesterday. Haven't heard from them today though. More later. Still Toothless in VA.....BobG in Va

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

GREAT NEWS AFTER 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!

I got a call from the Hartford FedEx center this evening about 8 o'clock and they had located the piece.... they told me that there was no packaging with the part at all and that is how they ID'd it..... from my description... one of the people there is a car collector and he knew exactly what to look for... Told me that he would leave a note for the day time people to assign a number to the piece and have it delivered tomorrow to my house. RockyMnt1, Thanks for all your help....... I don't think that it would have happened without your intervention. I will let you know when it arrives..... Thanks again for the help..... Paul the Junkman

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

Junkman, sounds like what I had happen a few months ago with UPS, while we were living in an apartment. The UPS tracking system showed what date it was to be delivered and we were home all day, then that evening the tracking system showed it had been delivered (NOT TRUE). So I called their customer service and found their driver just dropped it off at the apartment office without even coming to our apartment. The apartment office employees didn't call because they were accustomed to only receiving packages that way when the driver had been to an apartment and left a notice on the door as to where he was leaving it.

An even more confusing one was with UPS 3 months ago, when we were home all day waiting for a delivery (on a Friday). That evening, the tracking system showed it had been "re-scheduled" for the following Monday. I called and they told me there was nothing they could do; no place I could go to pick it up, etc. until it was delivered the following Monday. I was not happy, but within a few minutes of getting off the phone with UPS, the truck arrived to deliver it and said he had no idea why the tracking system would have shown such a thing since it had been on his truck all day for delivery that day. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

Paul,

Did you go out and search around the house and see if he dropped it off somewhere? Did he put it in the garage? If someone in the warehouse found the part I doubt that they would actually lose it again. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Good Luck, have a great Thanksgiving.

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

UPDATE......... Yes, I looked all around the house and with the two dogs, no one can get near the house without them announcing it. I live 1/2 mile off the main road, so we don't get many visitors that are not expected. I spent a lot of time on the phone with the customer service people and they told me that it showed that it was delivered to the front door... That was about 3 PM this afternoon... Just now, the FedEx truck pulls up (5:15PM) and has the part. I asked where it was dropped off previously and he said that it was on the truck the whole day, that he didn't scan it as delivered, and that the tracking information that showed it as delivered was wrong. I believe that this is the same driver that left my Windows XP Professional on the rural roadside mail box and marked it as delivered to the front door. It was only a fluke of luck that I happened to see it lying on the ground when I came home that evening. I complained about it that time, but never got an explanation. I know that every organization has one or two bad apples in the bunch, but why do I have to get the most rotten of them!!!!!! I appreciate what RockyMtn1 did to help with this problem, because without his intervention, this part would have been lost forever. I am beginning to wonder if this might not be "pay back" for the last time that I complained. This is the second part of two that were shipped to me.... one by UPS and the other by FedEx, because the shipper wanted to compare shipping times for each. When they found the part, it had no packaging on it at all. The picture I am posting is the first part to arrive by UPS and shows how both pieces were wrapped for shipping. I don't understand how all the packaging could disappear without a trace without some human intervention. It just didn't fall off!!!!!!! Two FedEx packages and two bad experiances..... I don't think that I can go through this again, so I will have to specify "NO FedEx" until the delivery problems to Woodstock CT are resolved. After that, I will consider it again....... Once again, Thanks for the help..... Paul the Junkman

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

Glad that you found the package. Not sure if the delivery scan issuue is systemic or procedural. I have passed your information on to the station manager so that he can address it from that end. Thank you for alerting us to your bad customer experiences. This will give us a chance to addreess the issue. This is certainly NOT the normal manner in which FedEx treats it's customers.

I'll let you know when I hear some resolution...

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

Bob........ I know that my missing part kind of hijacked this thread, but was wondering what the final outcome of your lost part is. Did you finally get it???? If so, does it fit??? Are you happy with it????

I would like to publicly thank all the people at FedEx that helped to locate my part and get it to me..... and especially RockyMtn1 .... if it wasn't for his intervention, I doubt that I would have ever received the part..... thanks to all..... Paul the Junkman

Glad to hear your tooth bar is back. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
You shouldn’t need it until next Friday. Snow removal does not usually require one. Hope you’re going to get some seat time. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Up here North West of Detroit there hasn’t been even one flake of snow yet today. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

8 or so inches on the ground where I'm at in Leesburg, VA and still coming down. Bought a 5' rear blade for my BX22 today to plow my drive. About 150', gravel. Tried a few different ways and found the best way to move the heavy, wet snow was to use the back of the blade moving forward. With the blade angled, only took about 4 passes on the driveway to clear it out completely. Hope we get 5 or six more inches tonight so I can do it again tomorrow /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

Tell us more about the blade...... brand, size, cost, etc... we love to hear about others positive experinaces.....

/ FEL Toothbar: "NOT!" #37
Re: FEL Toothbar: \"NOT!\"

King Cutter 5' Rear blade from Tractor Supply. Price was $190, no extra surcharge even though there was a lot of snow on the ground but all their blades were going fast. Snow throwers were sold out as well.

Blade is certainly a no frills version, doesn't have any adjustment side to side but worked well for snow.

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"YEAH!\"

Finally, Got the toothbar today. We didn't get the 2nd day of snow like they predicted so went and picked it up. Really HD. About 150lbs for the thing (78" long). Pinned/replacable teeth. Fits beautifully in the bucket. Will have to wait till next Friday to drill it etc, but looking forward to it. The only thing my buddy (who drove for me) said once we put it on the bucket was "Sweeeettt!" Thanks again Scott from Johnson's Auto. BobG in VA who is full of teeth now.

Re: FEL Toothbar: \"YEAH!\"

I would just let it rest till the spring.... you don't want to be moving snow with the teeth on the bucket.... That is, unless you believe that it doesn't snow in VA!!!!!!!! LOL /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
