Ruff dog... THATS THE ONE!

I searched YouTube for over 4 hrs and couldn’t find it. As soon as I saw the pic, I knew you’d found it!

Thank you.

But now, that I’ve seen these underslung versions... I’m going to have to think a bit.

Those do what I was wanting, and I see truck plows for sale all the time.

Here is the solution used where I live, a frame that attached to the the rear and more solid part of the tractor, the front attachment only carries the weight of the plow. last%20ned.jpeg

I went a different route, and fabricated a bracket to pin a 7.5' older truck plow to the frame of the tractor, the truck plow I picked up used only had the plow and angle pistons, didn't have the frame to raise or lower the plow, so I made a plate that I use in place of my bucket and use my FEL to raise and lower the plow using its chains. I'm a little curious tho, for those who mount the plow to your FEL, does it seem to put a lot of stress on the FEL arms? Granted I'm using a plow that is much bigger than Massey every intended on a GC2410, but the way I have my set up, it works great and with the 7.5' plow I'm not out plowing as long as I would be with the smaller size that was intended for this tractor. I'll try to post a couple pictures later if I get out there.IMG-0101.JPG

If your setup allows you to run a bigger plow and be more efficient and it works for you then that's great. The advantages of having the plow on the QA are that it is much easier to hook up without having to fight the plow to line it up and pin it and the loader mounted plow allows you to stack the snowbanks higher so it takes longer to run out of space to put the stuff.

I understand the concern for the FEL. And if I lived in an area which had more snow, I'd likely use something along the lines of Kage direct tractor attachment. But, in North Central KY, I don't have a lot of snow, but I need to have something that can 'do the job' when I do end up needing it. The flexibility of just hooking up a plow to the FEL and plugging in the 3rd function is my best option. I use my tractor throughout the winter, and a quick change over, when bad weather threatens would be far more palatable than losing my other options for the winter.

That's exactly why I like my FEL snow plow. Just last week I had the bucket on the FEL, cutting and dragging trees while the ground was frozen solid and no snow. When I was done with the trees, I dropped the bucket, popped on the snow blade, and connected the hoses. Within a couple minutes I was ready for snow again.

Yeah I've been looking at getting the Tach N Go quick attach for my Massey, once I have that, changing over from the plow to the bucket would be just a matter of unpinning the plow, switching over the hydraulics and grabbing the bucket, which I use to move banks around or to push them back further after a big storm. As it is now, I drop the plow and then have to swap my multi-tool plate and pin the bucket on. I did look in to the QA, but after seeing that Tach N Go set up I found that to be more useful for my size tractor. If I had a larger machine and the $ to add a 3rd hydraulic setup, I agree the QA would be the way to go with the amount of other attachments out there ready to go with the QA. I just figured I'd post my set up for anyone out there who had a smaller machine and was on a budget.

At work they use a QA on a Bobcat, their set up is what got me looking in to them, they had the extra hydraulics so their QA was just a matter of pulling a lever to unlock their attachment for the QA and once they hooked on to the next attachment and raised it up and tilted it back, they push the lever again to lock the QA levers... I thought that was slick as ****. I guess that's the beauty about tractors, you can always improve to make the jobs easier and easier. Just comes down to how much money you put in to it. :)
