Hello,
I saw your post regarding the Nuco loader from Homestead tractor. I bought one last year and I was not entirely happy with it. I thought that adding my experiences might give prospective buyers some insight about their loaders.
The following were the problems I experienced:
1. It did not fit the tractor. I needed to completely rebuild the mounting brackets.
2. Front braces flexed badly. This caused the entire loader to pitch forward which tweaked the lower bracket.
I had to build the mounting brackets again.
3. Loader arms were not built parallel. They were built at different angles which caused the loader to pitch to the right. I could not fix the problem.
4. The pivot points did not have a sleeve and grease fitting. This caused the pivot points to wear excessively. I had to drill all of them out and install a sleeve with a grease fitting for the pivot pin.
5. Hydraulic hoses wore prematurely All hoses were attached with metal straps welded to the frame. When the
loader is raised and lowered, it wore the hoses out. I needed to replace several hoses and install rub protection.
In summary, the loader was poorly designed and built without regard to long term durability. I had to completely rebuilt nearly the entire loader prior to selling the tractor. Buyer beware....
