Is leak down normal under a load...like a round bale of hay? I did have some leaks and fixed them, added Hyd fluid to correct level, still have some leak down when tranporting hay or even with just the forks on. Currently using some old forklift forks chained to bucket...forks prolly weigh in around 800lbs for the pair.

Mine did that, kept getting worse until I had the lift cylinders rebuilt.

Leak down is normal, but it is the rate of leak down that determines if components should be replaced.

My lift arms will leak down from full up to the ground in 24 hrs. Some people can just watch their loaders descend.

It is up to you as to how much you can accept before fixing. Sometime, replacing seals in the cyl will fix the problem.

Troubleshoot the cyl and loader valve to find out which one is leaking.
