Just joined this web site - will continue to visit even after I return my friend's borrowed Kubota - very entertaining and informative.

OK - question please - the FEL control stick (if it's even called that) moves properly enough, there's a full resevoir of hydraulic fluid, but it feels similar to a car's clutch that needs adjusting for "the play" in it - I'm not getting the same up and down action I got last week with the cotrol stick being in the same positions ....

Any ideas ? Is there a lnkage adjustment - can't seem to see one though ?

Thanks !

PS is there some sort of Top Secret password needed to find Kubota manuals on-line - it seems that they're basically unattainable.....

Joy Stick operation should be about the same all the time. Linkage may need lube. Another problem is bolt that holds spring on end of spools can come loose. Remove cover plate. Then carefully remove end cap on end of each valve. Tighten end screw and lube this area with water proof grease.
Check the other thread posted here to day on the same subject. Some pictures to help with repair.Loader "float" freeze-up in winter

My opinion is to inform your friend that was trusting enough to lend you his machine of your findings. More than likely nothing is wrong with it, you are just not use to the tractor. Now to start taking cover plates off and possibly making problems will surely change his mind on letting you use it again. Just a thaught.

Notify your friend. Look under the joystick boot. Something is unscrewing. I had a similar sounding problem on the 7520. it was a connector threaded to one of the spool valves that came loose and the spool was slowly spinning off the thread. If thats it come back for advice - the spool shaft slides thru seals so cant be gripped with std pliers to tighten the two back together.
