Ok, i bought a newer Prince loader valve. Which came pre-adj. at 2000 psi(i guess), and i don't have a oil filled gauge mounted yet. My question is can i adjust it maybe 1/4 -1/2 turn and still be good for 2500-3000 psi. My cylinders are good for around that pressure. Any pictures of or suggestions wher to mount one would be appreciated. Jim

I am not familiar with your particular valve but the ones I use have shims to set the pressure.

Yep, that's what i did after posting. Enough, but not too much so that anything is leaking or making a noise. Txs guys

Well wouldn't you know it. The only cyl. that i didn't have rebuilt, blew.LOL. Since this is an old loader and they have the older snowplow type cyl. on it. I going to order 2new bucket cyl. and two new lift cyl. 2500-3000psi's each. Would my pump be too little for these, or can i get a bigger pump mounted? 79'ym1700

Well...I'm not sure...but, will the rest of the tractor (front end) hold up the additional weight you wish to lift?

the New loader valve is set 2000psi, i read directions said 1 turn=200psi. I only went one turn, what i am saying is that the only cyl. that didn't get rebuilt was the one that blew. These things where made 70s-E80s, lord knows what all they have been thru, until i got them. They would lift my Bobcat welder(535) no problem. After having them done twice, now it's slow and easy. Or they start leaking(drip,drip)@2000psi. Worn out i guess. So, with screen cleaned, full of fluid will the pump handle cylinders & valve set at around 2500 psi. Would be my next question. I think i read pump out-put is 2035psi?? Or is say 800lbs. too much for these 1700s. Thanks

The old I&T shop manual states relief valve on the 195 (1700) should be set at 2200psi. This is the relief valve in the 3 point control system.

Don't trust anything but a gauge
