FEL for snow removal

I sure do and it has the hydraulic chute rotator. I'll have to go look at it and report back...

Due to cost concerns I used FEL this winter without any additional attachments. I wish I had invested in the edge tamers and I will before next winter.

Just make sure you have a plan on where to put all the snow. Here in the land of lake effect we can get socked in and have the snow not leave (and keep coming) for months. We had a very mild winter this year with plenty of melts so I did not have to worry about that, but I could see in a normal winter it would be an issue to think about. I have plenty of place to pile the snow, so no worries. It does change the pattern you want to use when plowing the drive though.

For only 6" of snow we drive through it.

Problem with that is if there's a freeze-thaw-freeze cycle, the drive can get very treacherous. I've let one or two inch snows go, and I ended up with a real mess.

I've used the FEL bucket to remove snow on several occasion...mostly when I had no alternative. Not my preference and I have torn up a few chucks out of my asphalt drive. Only reason I used the bucket this year is I sold the 3PH snow blower to replace it with a model with hydraulic chute rotation...then there were a couple medical issues that took the cash I had set aside for the snow blower.

Fortunately, we had a mild winter this year...I hope to have that replacement snow blower by Fall.

I used a bucket for snow removal for over 20 years. It worked ok. Driveway is large enough so it always seems to take about an hour. HEAVY snows could take another hour to move.

For the past 2 years, I've used a bucket but added a rear blade. It's a much better combination.

I never put and edge guard of any kind on mine bit I think I might try one this winter.
