On my Branson 3510 (65 hrs), both the boom and bucket bleed down when parked. Put a couple hundred pounds of gravel in it and measured it over 2 hours. The bucket cylinder gained 1/2 inch and the boom cylinder lost an inch. Never heard it pop or anything, but every 15 minutes I measured both cylinders which steadily bled down. No leaks, fluid level fine, and no "hot hoses." Is this normal? I know it's best to park it with the FEL down, but shouldn't it stay up? No problem, BTW, with the 3PH.

That is normal. Some companies publish the allowed leak down rates.

Its always good practice to take the stress off the cylinders when not in use,When your parked, put the bucket on the ground, the same goes for a backhoe,Enjoy the new Branson.Good machine

Yah. I think Kubota has told me that about 2' drop per 15 minutes is about normal. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
