Well you guys have finally sold me on the angle iron idea. I've got a beautiful piece of 3/8" angle that I'm going to cut to length. Then I plan to cut 2 slots about 6" in from either end , two more about 12" off center on both sides, and a final slot directly in the center. The best part is I got the angle free, and buddy is going to weld it for free!
