I have a B7800 with the RCK60-27B MMM and I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Kubota rear bagger and blower attachment. The unit is very expensive and before I dump the $$ I would like to get some feedback.

Thank you,

I bought one for my BX2200 and hated it. The top link is welded into a fixed position so that the 3ph won't lower along with the MMM. This causes the coupling to bind and it is a bear to get the thing off; it's a bear to get alligned and to put on as well. Further, I got the mulch kit for about $300, and it works well. I must say that I have a dry climate. Automatic irrigation waters on Mon. and Tue. so I can count on dry grass by the weekend. Mulching works well with dry grass that is slender and when you are taking only a half inch to an inch off. Otherwise it's not as good. I found mulching works well in my situation. I don't have to keep emptying that bagger and the clippings return the nutrients to the soil, so I don't have to do the fertilizing that I used to have to do. I sold my bagger to Junkman for half price.

Thanks for the replies, wonder if others had the same issue? I thought I heard of some issues with the bagger. Seeing it would cost me ~$1900 for the bagger and adapter including shipping, I just did not know how cumbersome the unit would be, I may go with a sweeper for a few hundred $.

The collector that the responders are talking about for the BX series is different than the one for the B series. The BX collector is powered by the rear PTO, and the B collector is powered by a pulley on the mower deck, and mounts differently. Here is a link to a poster that has the collector that you are asking about on a B7610 http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...-20-year-old-b7100-b7610.html?highlight=b7610

Well, I guess I don't know how to create a link, but the post was by Raddad in the Kubota owners / users forum. Perhaps he can give you some feed back that would apply to your tractor?

The whole system has its ups and downs. If you need to bag and have trees, it's really the only way to go. If you can trailer something, a trac-vac may work better for you.

Mounting it can be a pain, but it comes with the package. What are you going to do.

I use mine every time I mow. I suck up so many leaves it isn't funny. It gets clogged if there is a stick in the pile, but otherwise, it performs pretty well.

Can't say I'm "overwhelmed with its greatness", but it sure beats raking.

The blower and bagger work great. The same blower goes on the 54", 60" and 72" deck. Mine is on the B7610 with a 54" deck because I have so many trees to go arround. I have never had it plug up on the wetest leaves. I think you can push leaves better than you can pull them with suction. With the blower mounted on the discharge chute it has very high pressure with lots of velocity. I didn't want another gas motor I need to maintain, so I like the deck driven blower. String trimmer, chainsaws, rototiller, trim mower etc. using different gas and oil makes for too much work. You do need to empty it quite often with the number and size of trees I have on my 2 acres. Look carefuly at the capacity of the various options. Trac Vac makes higher capacity tractor mounted units and of course tow behind units. I like the manuverability of a tractor mounted collector. It shreds the leaves quite a bit so the baggs are pretty heavy.

The big negitive is that you need to remove a large bracket with 4 bolts on it everytime you need to use your rear PTO. The blower comes off very easy. You need to use ear protection when you run the mower with the blower also.

When you run it without the bagger the blower will make a rooster tail worthy of You Tube. If you want to try one out I will allow you to come over and you can mow and collect all my Michigan leaves for September and October for free!

Thanks, please send the First class airline ticket & hotel reservations to my attention. I will see you for a week or longer (i.e., the movie Family Vacation) come October LOL.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
