Favorite summer drink?

Water if I am trying to work, little crystal light or something for a touch of flavor sometimes.

When I am just piddling around relaxing and playing it is definitely a Radler.

Not sure how to make Umlauts over the A, but anyway, from Germany, or as close as I can make here

1 Can cheap beer, 1 can sprite, pour together in a tall weizen glass.

Try it you will like it.

(I cannot believe the word HxExLxL is such a problem on a "family" website. Is Heaven also objectionable? These are concepts and words discussed in churches every Sunday. I do understand some of George Carlin's list of words being verboten but how can you have a heaven without ****)

I haven't seen Gatorade mentioned yet...not that I drink it, just thought it was supposed to be a thirst quencher.

I find it too salty. The tiger woods version was tolerable (low salt formulation) but I believe they canned his sponsorship and the drink as well?

Not my favorite in anycase, I like Ginger Beer best of all, summer or winter :thumbsup:

I like a beer, but I can't drink many of them.

Gin and juice (specifically, real grapefruit juice) is like a miracle drink. It's good for you.

In the morning you use more juice. In the afternoon, you use less. Keep everything nice and cold. With good bitter GF juice (a grapefruit "drink" does not qualify), it doesn't matter what grade gin you buy. A monkey can mix it, and if he goofs up, it is either healthier, or more effective.

It's the cost effective, healthy, scalable choice for the thinking drinker.

I am totally with another poster who indicated an affinity for Johnny Walker Black Label. I hoped to be buried, or at least ignited, with it when that time comes. It is a vastly superior beverage.

I do not consider JWB a working drink, however, since it should not be mixed with anything. It is a Dinner Drink and lands a bit hard, when you have 12 hours in front of you.

Gin and Juice is the all-day weekend warrior's Breakfast and Lunch drink. I hope to have no more to say about the matter, but this message must be heard. Thank you for your time.

I like whatever I drink to be ice cold. Favorite for working in the summer heat is 1/4 real juice (like grape or fruit punch) to 3/4 water in crushed ice. Good thirst quencher with a light taste. After the work is done then it's whatever I have to take the edge off: juice with rum, mudslide, iced tea with a bit of Southern Comfort. Non-alcoholic: ginger ale with grape or orange juice, a good root beer, iced coffee.

When cycling I used to use grapefruit juice minus the Gin. The grapefruit juice seemed to provide a better thirst and energy rejuvenation than the sports drink did.:thumbsup:

LOL, at my new job they saw me with Nescafe in my hand and this lady says: "You must be a bachelor" We have free coffee here, but I just don't like that roast and instant coffee is better anyway.

Cold coffee is good on hot day.

Something sweet and tart like grapefruit juice or Schweppes Bitter Lemon has always cut thirst better for me too. If I cannot have a beer that sort of combo taste is my choice.

Don't remember which one? But, one of my prescription medications makes grapefruit and it's juice a strict no-no.
