FarmTrac Troubles

The key word is court. you will be out of money long before you get a court date and their lawyers will still be drawing a check. Those with the gold make the rules. Those without just have to follow them or quit. Thats how the big dogs do things and know that you do not have the money time and patiences to fight them because you have to make a living to pay the bills.!!!! :D :)

If the tractor numbers are correct Farmtrac was not thinking about the future and economic conditions. They over purchased and passed the mess on to the dealers when things started slowing down. You want enough tractors to have a good selection to choose from but you dont want to flood the dealers with tractors. The worst part is the dealers and customers will suffer more than the management. It also looks like Textron wasnt watching when they should have been. This is just my 2 cents worth.

Agree Dave the key to solving this problem with the least amount of loss to the dealers is that they stay together and not let the powers that be divide them into small groups and take away the focus of solving the problem for the dealers and their customers. First they will try to pit the customers against the dealer and then dealers against one another because everyone will have a little different problem and the powers that be will try to fix the cheapest problems and get the dealers fighting amoug'st their'selfs; and say we can't solve any problems because the dealers don't agree.

The only thing that I can say to that is. If and when some one is going to go looking for the money that is gone. Taxes have to be paid. When the Federal government gets involved it will be OK then. Not to many big companies win again them. There pockets are way deeper then Textron or any foreign fly by night operation. Some on some were is getting paid. I don't think the dealers will have no problem going to court with the dogs they are hunting with. Being over Confident due to the fact a company may have deep pockets is a gamble, just ask the British. :D Cup of tea any one? :) At least the dealers can wake up in the morning and have a not so heavy heart like are deep pocketed folks. In todays market big companies come and go. Ceo's go to prison and pay hefty fines.

I 've already made reservations,do not plan to take a trailer as I understand they will help in loading & shipping. also got a auction brochure in the mail,I was not impressed at all.it's not very attractive and in my opinion does not adaquatley represent the items for sale.------Taxpayer

Anyone can sue anyone and some supposed atty. or atty. assistant coming on here saying they are sueing Montana is pretty low.

If you want that info and you really are an attorney then get the facts and details via discovery, depositions etc.

Go bottom feed elsewhere.

Well, think of me like Erin Brokovitch. I'm not an attorney, I just work for. And what did Erin Brokovitch have to do to get the facts? It wasn't through depositions, discovery, etc. She had to go to the people who knew the story the best in order to get all the pieces of the puzzle to come together. I'm not trying to do anything other than figure out the relationship and where MT fits into the picture. I happen to know first hand how the dealers are the ones getting screwed in this whole process.

We represent Agracat, Inc, who many of you might have heard of and if anyone would like a copy of the complaint, I'd be more than happy to share it with you. Or, you can contact the Washinton County (AR) clerk's office and request a copy.

I have nothing to hide - simply trying to gather information.

Montana/Agricat = old news. In fact I think it was dismissed was it not? I was under the understanding it was then it was refiled but I could be wrong. I certainly don't have all the facts and have no inside knowledge but I have in fact called the clerk about 1 1/2 years ago and got info that really amounted to nothing.

Everone here knows that Montana wanted to buy FT, it was announced at dealer meetings, published etc. That is old news as well. What I don't like is the attempt, on a first post, to somehow link Montana to the FT woes. It looks a little odd and does not help anyone.

I have lots of FT dealer friends and feel very badly for them in this time. Heck, I had some guy contact me relentlessly via email, personal visits and phone calls from FT named Ankur Jain (sp) but we never did pick up the line.

My point is that I feel your method and approach was wrong. If you meant nothing by it then my apologies, it just seemed a bit odd for your first post to announce this type of stuff.

What did you do when he was "relentlessly" trying to contact you via the personal visit method? I can imagine you hiding out back in the catacombs of the parts dept. HA!

Things sure have been quite for awhile.wonder what's going on.still haven't heard if there will be enough people, going to tarboro for the meeting to make a difference.I also wonder if the dealers who terminated their dealer agreements, recieved the warranty notice from Textron, and will they be able to particate if they choose? just something to think about.A GREAT DAY to everyone-----Taxpayer:) :)

I quit taking the calls and one day he showed up at the store. I told him we really were not interested at that time. The email and calls kept coming but finally quit.

They were trying to make in roads out here in the northwest and west and really were persistent.

I googled Ankur Jain. Many, many pages of Ankur Jain. I'm not sure if that is a very common name or some poor lonely sole who joins every discussion group, organization, college, club or institution. I never found an association to FARMTRAC though.

In the auction flyer did you notice that the address/location of the sale does not match the website for the auction?! I don't think the town is big enough that we can't find the sale, but it would LOOK better if all the info matched. Just my 2 cents.:D

Don't get to excited about the LewPac site. The inventory is from dealers. Tell me why I'm wrong. I will not wait until this comes caving in. I am trying to be proactive. I have not heard of any other solutions to date. The floorplan companies cannot be trusted (none of them) I put my share into the legal fund to help, now I am trying to move forward. Hope they all sell into Escorts back yard not yours!

Ohhhhh nothing excites me these days! ;) I am 100% Pro-Dealers and will not bail on my fellow man (dealers) but I have electric, mortgage, food, etc to buy. Something has to give....soon. I believe that each and every day that this drags on, the Farmtrac name is loosing more of its value. I have said before, these are good tractors, but bad press because of poor management (or whatever put Farmtrac in this mess) is going to ruin us. I sure hope Textron beats the other tractor manufacturers to the punch and puts out the big discounts that we need to move these units sitting on the lots!
