I know your upset, but you say you feel for the dealers, but if you include your dealer in this suit I can tell you who will end up fixing your tractor and it won't be Textron or Farmtrac. That is unless he files for bankruptcy from the legal bills. Lawyers will promise you the world to get you to file suit, but don't expect too much from the ones that should pay.

I am not going to mess with my dealer, He is not at fault in this matter. As for the Lawyer problems, One is my wife. She is a State Attorney, the other is my Cousin. Plus I have 2 cousins that are FBI. I am trying to push and see if there is any criminal mis conduct on there part (Farm Trac & Textron). You sooner or later if you go through life screwing over folks, some times you get to the one that is not to be screwed with, out buying him/her a drink first. So we will see. It is getting to the point that I want more then money. I want justice. I think there are allot of folks out there that feel the same way.

According to SESS a couple of pages back, his post states that Montana was meeting with Farmtrac parent company and that possibly, Montana was wanting the Farmtrac dealer base and could possibly warranty certain Farmtrac models such as the subcompacts that are identical to the subcompact Farmtracs. My question is would it not be to everyone's benefit that owns these subcompacts as well as the Ford style Farmtracs to e-mail Montana and encourage them to take over and service both styles of the Farmtracs? Most of the posts give the Farmtracs very good reviews and I do to. I bought my 555DTC because of good reviews, growing up with the Ford tractors which were plain but reliable, and a dealer who would go out of his way to make any problem right and as quickly as possible. Should we e-mail Montana and let them know that as owners of Farmtracs, that we believe it would be to there best interest as well as our own to completly take over and keep these Farmrac lines?

Help me with this one. Do you mean to suggest that it would be in Montana's best interest to cover warranty work on Farmtrac machines? If yes, please explain why.

I like your idea. I for one am very happy with my Farmtrac 300DTC but feel somewhat like an orphan owning it now. If a dealer (Montana) would continue to honor my wattrany I know who I would go to for my next purchase. Dealing with a busness that goes the extra mile with their customers goes a long way in building customer loyality.

So, bottom line is I am going to take your idea and e-mail Montana and cast my vote that it could be a good thing for them to help fix this uncertainty that many of us are now in.

Your idea is very positive and refreshing.

Regards

Read post #282-Montana sent out a press release saying that an agreement is in the works to perform the warranty/parts/service on the 270/320, etc models because they are basically the same tractors as their own Montana brand. Also read all the posts since then because there was an article in the Tarboro, NC news paper that said the same thing. As a Farmtrac dealer I can tell you that, an agreement has not be worked out yet for this all to happen regardless of what the different articles say!

Regardless of what Montana would like to do or offer the consumers, Textron Financial is still the controlling factor in all of this! Textron is holding all the cards and no one seems to know what is going to happen. Since Farmtrac is in receivorship, baby steps are being made-but who knows what the outcome will be.
