Farmtrac 555 steering leak

I have a Farmtrac 555 that is leaking oil around the steering post under the steering wheel. I have looked at the parts diagram and it shows only a dust seal under the steering wheel in the steering post. It doesn't show a seal or o-ring where the post goes in the steering motor.Must be one there and is part of steering motor. Has anybody been there and did that.

Have not may be like others and you have to buy the whole thing. If it is bad try to take it apart and see if you can match it up.

Ouch at 1k I would be trying to find out if is serviceable

I talk to a tractor mechanic and he said it had a seal by the steering box that could be matched up at the parts store. when you pull out the steering post loose bearings will fall out if you are not very careful with it. sounds better than expensive parts.
