I have a few issues with my hoe:

1. I have a leaky control /spool valve that swings the boom left & right. Hydraulic fluid leaks from a weep hole in the bottom. What can I expect if I take it apart? Are there "O" rings in there? I have some mechanical background (4 years in the USMC) but haven't done much with hydraulics.

2. When I change the hydraulic fluid do I need to bleed anything if so what and where?

3. Unknown to me the cotter pin sheared and the pin in the top pivot that the boom swings on worked itself loose. I got the pin back in but the bearing the pin rides in now seems a little cockeyed, it no longer sits flat on the king post weldment assy. New bearing?

I searched the posts but no luck.

Thanks in advance.

there are orings in the valve, not hard to work on, more work taking the valve off then it is to repair one. If you take it apart check for crud and sharp edges, sharp edges will shave the oring and cause a leak.(common problem with Chinese control valves).
The pin problem, if the pin fits tight I wouldn't worry about it, but if it has play in it I would change it out.
