NO synthetic rope for my skidding winch either!
IF mine had synthetic on it, I would have had to replace it a couple times by now and the wire rope on mine is still good after many years of rough service.

Steel on the Farmi , synthetic on the chipper. Both have their place, but the rocks here wouldn't play nice with the synthetic on the Farmi.

As long as the safe word is understood by all I’m pretty sure you’re good.I don’t think using synthetic rope on a wench qualifies as “consensual”
