Just wondering what everyone out there thinks this winter is going to be like. The farmers almanac is predicting a colder, wetter, and higher amounts of precipitation this winter for most of us.
Do any of you out there have predictions based on the past or your experiences.
One thing my grandfather has always looked at and his father also was how high the squirels and bees built there nests and hives in a tree. This is supposed to tell us how much snow we will get in a season. He says it is accurate most of the time.
I have always thought if I am prepared we will have an easier winter. I have a new pole barn, tractor, and off course a nice new 3pt. snowblower. All wood is cut, split, and stacked. Propane and kerosene are topped off. So this usually means it will be warm and will get very little snow.

Looking foward to everyone else thoughts and predictions.
