I have a 1953 Super M Farmall Gasoline Tractor. Does anyone know if there is any difference between a Super M and a regular M carburetor? Thanks in advance!

I'd be more worried over the make of the carb.

At the age of the tractor someone could have modified either to have the same power if the carb in question is used.

Don't know about carb but the engines are different.

The M is a 248 cid 4 cly and the Super M is a 264 cid 4 cly.

The M was manufactured from 1939 to 1952. The Super M was made only for 3 years 1952, 1953 and 1954. The 400 took the place of the Super M.

No answer to your question. I would check over at YTmag.com They will even have new carbs if you need one... And, a whole forum just for Farmall's.

Good Mornin Oliver,
The Farmall M and Super M used different carbs. The M carb 50983DB is the listed carb for that tractor and a rebuild kit can be purchased through Valu-Bilt tractor parts. The Super M carb is listed as 356948R92 and that can also be rebuilt.

Their phone # 1-800-433-1209. The kits are about $18 plus shipping !

BTW you can also go here and buy a used carb off of the classified section...Farmall & IHC Tractors Discussion Board
