Farmall Hydraulic Levers

I have a Farmall Super A and the hydraulic levers are very loose. If I raise the hydraulics the levers will not stay in place. Is there a way to tighten these up? I thought I would ask before I started taking things apart.

Are your levers supposed to be spring centered. You might have broken springs or the nuts on the spool might be loose on the bottom of the valve.

Describe your valve a little more or even take a couple of pictures, or video.

Here is an exploded view of your hydraulic controls. Guessing either the friction disc's, (#14, takes 2) are shot, or the friction spring (#21, takes 1) is broken.

Messicks still lists them as available, so you should be able to get them through your local Case/IH dealer, or order from Mesicks.

Friction disc's are $6.74 ea.

Friction Spring - $7.10 ea.
