Farmall 140
I have recently purchased a Farmall 140 about a '67 model I think. I can't find the plug to check the transmission fluid level, does anyone know where it is and what to put in it? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

As if you're on the tractor, look to the left where the gear shift is, and there should be plug right on top, a square hole should be in the plug to turn it out. For the hydro fluid, look on the left outside of the tractor. I believe there's an 8 sided plug there. Recommended to put in International transmission fluid which should be available at many auto supplies such as NAPA. They should also have an oil filter that will work. John

Thanks for the info but isn't there a plug you remove so you know when it is full? At least on some tractors its there but I can't find one on this one.

Send a private message to TBAR, a TBN member who just restored a 140. He can probably tell you as I can not remember any other level plug being on there. Been too long. John
