Fan Belt....:(

Well trying to seed a yard tonight and fan belt broke with 252 hours on it.....sucks the last tractor had about 1600 on it when it broke. I sure wish I could have finished the yard. I guess I will see what warranty does for it.
Sure makes me wonder if theres more to it since the belt has a lot of cracks and rips all over it

It might have been slipping. That makes it heat and causes cracking.

I seriously doubt their going to cover a fan belt.

I agree that shouldn't happen, I changed belts on my 03 L5030 at 1000, but it was just precautionary. They were getting some cracks and were a bit hard, but showed no indication of impending failure.

Ouch, sounds premature enough...Might look at another brand if the replacement doesn't do better...One thing about the new tractors, the side covers hide the engines and related parts.

They covered it under warranty, I seen no other problems, fan and alternator pulleys were good.
Up and running again.

Still keep an eye on the adjustment. On my 4240 I had to adjust the tension twice because it started to slip and it only had 200 hours on it when I traded it.
