Fall is an attractive time of the year. Two beautiful photos, but it shows winter is comming.

BTW
If you post sequential pictures to the same thread by posting the second as a reply to the first, then all the comments from your pictures will be in the same thread. It's easier to follow that way.

Why didn't you just add this photo to your original thread? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I was going to drop this tree for firewood, but anything with foliage that fine deserves to die at a very old age. Pete

Pete,Pete,Pete. You can't cut that one yet. That's a 2 tapper at least! You'll need alot of those once you get your maple operation going. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
You and Tamara have a great fall and rub all the goldens for me.
Take care.

Seeing all the beautiful pics of Vermont in the fall makes me wish I was there! My wife and I last vacationed there about 3 years ago in October. We're looking forward to going back!

Well, if I was inclined to tap sugar maples that one would be okay being as how it's right next to the driveway! My wife, who believes in keeping the old ways alive, doesn't believe in running lines, which means someone (me!) would have to snowshoe around collecting the contents of buckets all over heck and gone! No way! No how!

We had peak foliage Sunday. That night the wind picked up and stripped half the branches. Still colorful, but it's amazing how short peak really lasts! Won't be long now before it's time to mount the snow tires and plow!

All the dogs say hello. Woof!

Pete,

Sounds like a pretty good excuse to get yourself an ATV. That way you could drive around collecting the contents of the buckets all over heck and gone! And you'd be able to collect more at one time, which would be more effecient, which would give you more time to do other projects for Tamara, which.........

Pete, stick with the snowshoes! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Got an ATV already, but find it doesn't do so well in four feet of snow! Besides, the dogs have me trained to pack down the snow with the shoes so they can enjoy nature in the winter months!

So how's it going, Garry?!? Wasn't so long ago you folks swung our way to take in the colors! Pete

You're sure right, Pete! In fact, we were just talking about that trip this past weekend. We even pulled out our pictures to show some friends. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

There is absolutely no question that it was one of the finest trips we've ever taken. I can't tell you how many times we've told people about it, and what fine folks we met in Vermont. To be perfectly honest, if it weren't for making plans to visit our grandaughter on a regular basis, we'd be heading out your way on a regular basis. We just loved it!

And we sure can't complain about the hospitality that we were shown! What a terrific evening we had that night, didn't we? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That was definitely a trip to remember! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
