Hello All,
This is my first post here and I hope to be able to use this forum to help me in the future! I own a Kubota B2710. I recently also purchased a mowing deck (three point not belly) that uses a PTO rpm of 540. On the tach of my tractor there is a little thing that says something like PTO-1-540. This makes me think that I should adjust the throttle to 1 (1000 rpms) and then the PTO output would be 540. But research has led me to think that this is wrong. There is also a little tick mark on the tach that must be there for some reason. It's right past 2500 rpms. Where should I set the throttle? Setting it to the tick mark kind of makes sense to me because the mower is moving so dog slow at 1000 rpms (on the engine that is), but the tach is confusing to read. There is a little dot by 1000 rpms, and a dot by 2500 rpms. The belly mower pto would be at 2500 rpms (as stated on the engaging lever) and the whole PTO-1-540 thing makes me think that the rear PTO should be used with the throttle at 1000 rpms. The little dots just seem important, as does the tick mark.
I have no idea what to do. Can someone please help me?
