Price Check fair price for BX2200?

I live in SW Michigan I can get a new BX2200 for $8,995 and a FEL for $2300. I feel the tractor is a fair price but the FEL is kinda high. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Scottie, front end loaders are high priced implements (but I'd hate to be without one). In 1995, they figured $2,600 for the FEL on my B7100 and in 1999, $2,900 for the FEL on my B2710. So you might be able to find a better price, but $2,300 doesn't sound bad to me.

Scottie, I bought my BX2200 with 60 inch deck and 48 inch box last month for 9,995. At the time, I was given a quote of 2,000 for the FEL. That was here in north Alabama. Dave

I've found that you have to look at the total price of tractor and FEL. Some dealers will discount the tractor more, some will discount the FEL more. I've seen differences of $1000 for the identical FEL, but the total packages were quite close.

I just bought a new BX2200 with 60" mower and loader. He started at a package price of $12,200. One thing I know, you can get a lot better deal buying a "package". I asked about implements-- he offered me a Howard Rotovator for $1,200 and showed me his wholesale cost on that tool is $1,139. I ended up getting the whole schabang for $13,200. I wish I had the extra bucks right now or I could have bought a lot more implements at just about cost.

Scottie, Loaders are tough, not as much mark up as the tractor and just as much set up time (more than on a BX). Set up time is $ charged against the deal ($48 per hour at our shop) which detracts from profit. $2300 is a bargain as far as I am concerned, we sell 'em at list price and discount the tractors. Remember BX tractors are almost completely set up in the crate, so the shop charges on the tractor are small as opposed to the loader.

I was quoted $13,000 delivered for a BX 2200 w/ FEL and 60" belly mower about a mo. ago by a dealer near Flint , Michigan. After looking at some of the postings here, this quote may be a bit high though??

I was just at a dealer last week that gave me a price of $12,000 for the BX2200, FEL and 60" MMM. No dickering at all, I said "How much", and he said "12k".

So, look around some, you should find a better price.

Was that price delivered to your site with your state's sales tax included? In MI that would be another $720 or at least a total of $12,720 delivered. If s.t. was included in your $12 K price that would put the tractor, fel, and MMM b/4 tax at about $11, 330 which would be a "great Price" using the chart posted by another board member giving "great" / "good" price parameters. If you are in MI give me the dealers name!

That price he quoted me was $12,200 for bx2200, fel, 60mm, and backblade. No TAX, I will buy a trailer and haul it home myself, for that price Since I am not an Indiana resident they can't charge me sales tax, and since this is not like a car you don't have to register a tractor with anybody,I know if I bought a car in Indiana I would get dinged at the Secretary of State in Michigan when I went to register it.
