It depends upon how "used" it is. I paid a little under $600 for a KK 5' unit 3 years ago. I don't know what current pricing is. I'd check TSC's site for $$$ new...

If in very good condition, then the price is ok. It is not rare to see 4-5' models of different brands sell for less than that. KK doesn't have the brand recognition of Bushhog, Rhino, JD etc. Bought my old 6' rhino 6-7 years ago for $250.

It's hard to compare prices on a national basis. Prices are pretty regional. That said, $450 for a 48" cutter wouldn't even get an inquiry around here unless it dang near NEW. $150-300 is about right with the upper end sitting with a for-sale sign for quite some time. I just picked up a used 60" at auction for $35 a few weeks ago. (Ford 954) But, it's been rode hard and put away wet and needs paint. The new wheel on back cost more than that along with good looking blades and the gear box had very little gear lash so I went for it. Turned out to be a good piece of gear and runs fine. I'll splash some paint on it if the neighbor starts to complain.

A couple hundred if it isn't too used in this neighborhood. Might have to shop a little to find one at this price, but they are out there, not just a single time sale.
