External Position Control Lever

Perfect! Thank you so very much! That really helps!!

That's what I was looking at doing too. But it seems like that pin does not stick out far enough to get both linkages on there? Did you remake that pin? The control is backwards too, right?.

I had the bracket on the cab frame but I didn't have a separate ear for the linkage to connect to. So I ground the linkage down so it would fit to the existing pin without being too tight. Basically I replaced the washer with the linkage. The control could be backwards on mine due to the linkage being 180 out. When I lift the handle it raises the 3pt and down lowers the 3pt.

OH! well... that doesnt seem backwards at all! Up is up and down is down?! That might be better! Never thunk to grind the linkage down. Might have a look at that instead. I'll see what my dealer comes up with.
Thank you!

Having only owned open station tractors - I was a tad confused. You are saying there is a 3-point position control lever inside the cab and another out back - right. That would even be handy for me. I have a small wire loop on the end of a rather long pole. The loop goes over my only position control lever - and sticks out back. I can push/pull the pole to activate the lever. Pretty crude but it works and saves a whole lot of time.

Yes, exactly. I thought my tractor came with an external lever, it did not, so I am (attempting to) adding it. This would give me a lever outside for hooking or unhooking equipment easier. With a cab tractor, to make any small adjustment means walking over to the right side door and reaching in to move the lever. Hopefully you moved it enough and/or not too much and in the right direction as you typically cannot see the 3pt standing there. Otherwise you need to climb up in the cab to make a small adjustment. This lever is an absolute must for cab tractors.

Man - do I EVER know exactly what you mean. That is the one and only reason for my pole & loop. Even without a cab - the back/forth, repeat, etc is a real PITA.

I looked when I got home and I am reversed, up is down and down is up. Not sure what I was thinking but it certainly works for me. I wouldn't be with out now.
