Extend Range on Infrared Remote

I found some lights with RF remotes, but they cost 50% more for 1/2 of the light... 300% more to get the same amount of light. Too much to spend on something I'd like to have but don't really need.

I did find some cheaper ones from china, but reading what I consider to be real reviews I might as well throw my money in the trash and save my time rather than order them.

Looks like, at least for now, this isn't something I'm gonna do.
