Extend Front Axle?

I am looking at a 5525 w/ FEL and was wondering if there was any reason to not extend the front axle. Does it affect the turning radius?

It wil change your turning raidus. When you say extend it, do you mean make it have a wider stance? This will make it turn less tightly. Making it narrower will make it spin round tighter.

Yes, I was thinking about moving the front tires apart to make the front end more stable but did not know if it would affect the turning radius enough to be noticed. Right now from the factory the inside edge of the front tire is aligned with the inside of the rear tire. If I move the fronts out to be roughly centered with the rears, will it do any good or harm?

I moved out the fronts, and the rears. I did not notice any difference.

I flipped mine out wider on my Kama for more stability on uneven ground. One phenomena occurred ... or it seemed that way, was in 4wd it seemed to pull the tractor into a tighter turn? I'm always on dirt so I run in 4wd most of the time.
