I am adding on to my barn (30x32) another (30x32) bldg.My question is can i prep the area with a box blade and my JD 2520 the area is farily level no big hills, ruts or trees to remove.I would like the "seat time"and if i dont have to pay a excavator that is a plus to.I know it's hard to say with out seeing the area but what your general thought's.Will also ask the builder what he think's.

Probably can, if you know what has to be done give it a shot.. if you can't do it then call someone.

Certainly you can. Prep is nothing but seat time and patience. With that said, I firmly believe in soil compaction as well, but that is another step.
Sure, you can prep the site. I'd certainly want to check it with a level before I formed and placed.

Good luck.
