Hi all, I am a long time lurker first time poster here and had a couple of questions.
I have 30 acres in upstate New York near Binghamton and have been trying to do some property management for deer, turkey etc etc.
I hacked out two small food plots (1 has clover growing great the other just started last month). I have been using an old old old pull behind disc that my uncle found somewhere and it works ok but my problem is that because it is a pull behind and not worked of the 3 pt hitch i have some issues getting to all spots of the plots because i have to leave myself enough room to turn around.
I thinking of getting a 3 pt disc harrow and was wondering if anyone had any size recommendations for my 3200. Dont want to overwork it.
All that i really need is to work inn some lime and fertilizer and turn under some weeds so the disc does not have to be a monster and because i am working with small plots (about 1/4 acre each) making multiple passes is also not an issue.
I was looking at woods on line and also tractor supply and have read numerous posts regarding the tubular frame vs angle iron frame.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and great site.
