i have a few 10-12 hp riding mowers and was wondering if there is a basic electrical schematic for wiring battery to solenoid ect. just to see if engines turn over and have spark

It's pretty simple if you can stand the sparks. Just attach a battery positive to the terminal on the starter and a battery ground to the frame. The starter should engage and the motor should turn over. Ignitions are self contained and the motor is turned off by grounding out the internal coil.
