I would ask for the SUDT2 but I would not be surprised if you are disappointed.

You paid for dealer set up whether it is a line item on your original invoice or not, they don't do that for free. The backhoe didn't come installed from the factory, the dealer's set up person who installed the hoe on the machine is the one who didn't torque the lines.
If it were me I would have the dealer pay for the lost fluid as well as have them tighten up all the lines correctly.

When I bought the tractor I was told (several times since I asked several times) that I would be shown how to operate the tractor, this never happened, not worth going into detail but myself and my wife were shown zero respect after the paperwork was signed.

I finally voiced that concern and the fluid loss concern to the dealership today.

They told me they would send someone out to my property on the weekend of my choice to give me the demo (at least demonstrate how to take backhoe off)

The guy that is coming out is the same guy that couldn't show me how to remove backhoe the night I took delivery ( after salesman had left us highndry) so I don't know what to expect.

They also told me they would tighten all lines and give me the lost fluid.

It's frustrating knowing I paid so much for a tractor and not knowing if I've already caused permanent damage to it cause of the lost fluid.

When I try to put it in gear now with clutch depressed it will always grind before going in

Kudos to your dealer for trying to make up for the oversights, especially, the SUDT2.

I am a VERY good customer at my dealer. This dealer would have done much the same as recently as 18 months ago but no longer. Things have changed much for the worse.

I'll not bore you folks with the changes and the "rationale" behind (think profit centers) but I've become concerned that my dealer (only 5 miles away) will not survive long-term given the new business practices. If it fails, the next closest (smaller) dealer is 30 miles away.

Stay tuned.

This was a purchase of used tractor right?

This was a purchase of used tractor right?

Yes, a lot of discussion but the photos look to me like a thoroughly used backhoe, not sure of the whole machine. This was a key question until the dealer stepped up and made it all right anyway (or says he will.) Seems to me like "just follow-up the work and case closed."

Yes to me it looked like many posters were thinking it was all new unit.

I think the OP should have mentioned he purchased used equipment upfront. Long story about nothing.

Glad they will come through on the fluid. Did you save receipts? Would be better if they just reimbursed you for your cost.

As said, you should not need or use teflon tape on hydraulic fittings unless they are a pipe thread. Most manufacturers use oring boss, flat face oring, or JIC flare. None of those connections require or should have teflon tape applied.

If you buy something, you need to expect to go out on a limb sometimes and pay for certain screw ups. The dealer could argue, that if it was leaking, you should have stopped using it.

If your tractor is gear drive, Like my L2501, you have to give the transmission a few seconds after you clutch it to let everything in the transmission to come to a stop. If not, it will grind in each time.
