I know you all can't get enough equipment pics.
This is a pic of the mini dumper from the manufacturers web site.

It takes some getting used too. All drive is hydraulic and all functions are controlled by a single joystick. There are no foot brakes or other controls. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Received a phone call first thing this morning to inform that the installers were coming to erect the shed. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Talk about short notice. We had just put the first coat of render on the base on Saturday. Just in time. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Well they arrived at 10am (after getting lost twice on the way).
Everything required came on a 20ft long flat bed truck and a delivery van.

The basic four side framing was erected in about 30mins.

Thankfully it was a glorious spring morning. The day turned out to be one of the best we have had so far this year.
The frame comes in 10'ft x 10'ft panels. They cut door openings on site to suit base dimensions and weld in supporting framework as required.
Here you see the front sheeting going on with the main door half obscured and the pedestrian door nowhere to be seen.

All the framing is 40mm sq box section, with equal angle for the chords of the truss members. Cladding is plastic coated profiled sheet.

This is the end of the first days work. All wall sheeting is in place and the door openings cut, welded and trimmed.
Only the roof cladding, edge trims and roller shutter door to go on tomorrow /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Closer view through the main access door.
The G clamps are there until the truss is bolted or welded in position. They inform that they leave this as a temporary fix to confirm alignment before completion.
The roller shutter is packaged on the floor awaiting installation.

The picture confims that the 3D drawing of the frame I had done up for the construction permits is spot on.

I'll take some more finished pics tomorrow, but the weather is to turn.

Very nice Voodoo. I am envious /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I wish I had one of those. It's amazing how fast the pro's can put these things up. I guess when you know what your doing and do them all the time it gets easier. Also the fact that they are pre-engineered helps too I guess.

just by looking at the picture you are going to have some
serious drainage problems how are you going to keep water from running in under the doors or do you have a drainage
system in place?

Well. They came again first thing this morning even though it was pouring with rain. I was away on business, but my wife says they worked through it without slacking.
It appears that at least two of the workers are Portugeese immigrants. They speak very little English, but are very friendly and evidently hard workers.

"Finished" is entirely relative.
I still have to finish rendering the walls, installing the electrics and landscaping around.
Not to mention a fuel tank to give my "toys" a drink /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The frame is from a local company here in Ireland. They make it up in their own workshops.

Having seen it erected and the detail of the construction, I could have fabricated the frame myself. The biggest problem would have been space to set out and weld up. They are obviously geared to do this kind of work and have jigs set to create the framing. The profiled sheeting is off the shelf and the roller door comes from a local supplier also.

Given the time and space, I might have had a go.
That said, the workmanship is very good, they build these day in and day out and at the end of it I have a finished quality product. If I had done it myself, it might not look so complete even several years from now.

Drainage was a major concern right from the start. It has to be here in Ireland /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
I was working on a sloping site and had to accomodate in the levels I had to work with. The access road was existing.

The first phase of the solution was to intrroduce a transit kerb to the front of the apron. Easy enough to drive over, it breaks the level and continues directing the water to the base of the access road where a road gully takes it away.

The second stage was to introduce a comtinuous drainage channel across the opening.
You could not see this in previous photos as I had a plywood cover as the channel lid to protect it whilst concrete was laid and walls rendered.
The channel grates are now in place and should do the job.

The floor itself has a pvc damp proof membrane installed to prevent rising ground water. I don't want my toys getting their feet wet /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know what you mean about time and money. Wife always thinks I have neither available. Problem is I spend the time she spends the money /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

When you can, go for it. I only wish I had done this earlier. Beats having all your expensive equipment exposed to the elements all year round. Also reduces the instances of prying eyes who might just want to adopt yours for their own without asking /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I put the mini excavator, dump trailer, carry all, fertiliser spreader, road trailer, 3pt forks and tractor into the shed tonight. All fit with room to spare /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I had great satisfaction pulling down the roller door and locking them in.

I was just going to tell you to be carefull about the sky panels in the roof. They are illegal in many states here in the US as they can become brittle over time and if someone is on the roof they can fall through. I think as an alternative they install them in the walls or ridge. The particular story I am thinking of was a farmer trying to remove snow from the roof. He fell through, broke many bones in his body and died about 20 ft outside the barn when crawling for help.

Don't want to put a damper on your project, just wanted to let you know.
