Thanks for all of the responses. I ran her for 2.5 hours 12-31-11 and she ran perfectly. Fuel is realitively new but who knows about contanimation these days. I will be printing all of the responses for future use and log the problem with the dealer.

My 23hp Command started doing this. I was running a 50/50 old/new fuel mix and it would surge a little.

Fresh fuel fixed it.

Try some fresh fuel and some sea foam.

With the {ahem} "quality" of today's fuel, you should always use stabil or similar product in all fuels. It keeps is fresh, but also cleans deposits out of the carb.
