Engine exchange with water pump issue

I have a B8200 4 wheel drive kubota with a d950 engine and
Put a rod through the engine block I purchased a d850 engine
that has a dynamo instead of a water pump but was told
I could replace front engine cover on the d850 with engine cover
from my d950 . The problem? , d850 doe not have
Water pump hole in engine above gears and where the dynamo
Is behind the fan on the block is a brass plug which seems
like it would block complete water distribution through
engine. Any help would be appreciated

Second, sounds like someone, whoever advised you about the interchangeability, might be misinformed about same?
Have you gone back to them with this problem for a further discussion/explanation?

I suggest you replace the engine with the proper one.
