Engine coolant drain YM195

I need to find the engine coolant drain on my tractor. I don't have a manual.
Can some kind soul help?

Parts book shows a thumb screw, right, rear of radiator.

Yeah, I found that one, but that's only for the radiator, not the block.

Some of them had a small hose from a small opening in the radiator (lower left side, in front of the alternator), back to a similar opening in the block near the oil filter.

Remove either end of the hose to drain both.

And I have seen diagrams showing a drain petcock halfway along that little hose, attached to the chassis.

Easier and faster just to disconnect lower hose from block.

I have the little petcock that drains the radiator and the block if you take the 3/4" or so bolt out. But like norm said if you take the lower hose loose it will drain both in about 30 seconds. The problem here is there is not much clearence and when the hoses stick they are tough to get free in that little space. I know i have removed my radiator about 3 times now.

I don't recall where I read it, but I got the impression that some old-school Japanese rice farmers, as late as the 1970's when some of the YM's were designed, simply drained the radiator for winter then refilled it with ditch water when it was time to start work next spring. And I think that little petcock (bolt) that drains the little hose was designed to accommodate them.

i have heard to about the ditch water in them. After seeing the what looks like either fine rust particles or small amouts of clay residue that work out of mine into the overflow bottle i beleive it. i should have flshed well before i put the new radiator on as it is now settled into that now im sure. It looks like you put a pinch of reddish clay into my overflow bottle. I think is tiny amounts of dirt, not big like rust scale but fine will disturb into solution if shaken or vibrated but will settle out again.

I have decided to remove the small hose where it goes to the block. I know it will be slow, but I'd rather wait then fight to get that 31 year old radiator hose off if not necessary!
