Backhoe Empty dirt from pickup with backhoe mod?

I'm thinking about bolting a steel strap over the teeth and attaching a board or piece of plate to extend the width and reach. Board would be easier on the bed, but less strong.

Has anyone attempted something like this?

Far, far too simple.

I love it. I'll have mine done by next weekend, and I'm out of town until Saturday! I can already think of about 20 different things I could do with that!
