Email notices

I found out why I'm not receiving email notices anymore, I haven't paid my $100.00/year membership fee yet, now I've been put on the ignore list, and I blamed it on N. Korean's for nothing, probably came close to starting WWIII.

I too have noticed lately that Email notices are non existent. Also noticed that PM alerts no longer appear. With no Email notice and no alerts, the PM function borders on worthless. Wonder what gives?

Yep something is broken. Haven't received any email notifications in more than a week.

Mine suddenly stopped recently only after they magically appeared about a week earlier. I didn't know about the PM function not working.

Email alerts appear to be broken, Muhammad (the site owner) is working on it.

At least my toaster still works with out email notices, but even toaster's don't work like they use to either, 40 years ago all I had to do is snap my fingers and the wifey would make me toast, not sure but maybe all it takes to fix that is a hearing aid...............

I'd like to email my toaster to tell it to kiss off and release my toast when it's done! I've gone through so many toasters over the last ten or so years...they're all junk. Won't toast both side evenly if at all. Burn one side, uncook the other. You name it, I've seen it all. If you see mine tell it to phone home.

Ah, Mate. You've got it set to 'crumpet'.

Easy mistake.

I knew it! Darn Brits, can't cook worth a dam. My mum used to burn her toast then scrape it until it met her level of doneness. Go figure. I can't find a toaster that will do what you tell it regardless of mount of coin spent.:confused3:

Actually, I'm serious. My 4-slicer has a wee switch for either toast or crumpet. It's a "Brevelle Advance crumpet" and I've had it for over 10 years. It works perfectly.

Good luck on your quest to find the perfect toaster. They're out there! :eek:ath:

I've got a Brevelle 4 slicer that started holding the toast hostage recently?! Intermittant issue, sorta similar to the emails not getting to us (to keep the thread on track;)). I really like it otherwise.
You down under guys would have a crumpet machine- what about a little miss muffin one?:licking:

Wait, is this a toaster or no email thread........I haven't got "blisters on my fingers" from my 3 year old $40.00 4 slice GE Chinese made toaster, still works good. When I bought it I searched and searched for a USA made toaster, I found one, a Star brand some where's around $500.00+, you got to be kidding, it's a sad day when a USA company cant make a good 4 slice toaster under $200.00, no wonder we buy China made stuff.

Since I wont have to worry about blisters on my fingers, maybe that's because I' not a big Mike or Ringo fan. I do think I'm getting "bony fingers", it's because now my fingers have to do all the walking around Robin Hood's barn because of no bleeping blinking blanking email notices......

It might as well be a toaster thread now whilst we wait for the email notices to be fixed.

Besides that, Coyote machine needs our help finding a toaster that works and this is TBN's forte!

The man's in strife (what with his slices being held hostage and all)!

Yeah, if only I could get back email and PM notices, I'd be willing to give up some toast, for a few days at least.

The wife would like to find a good toaster and we have gone through several in search of one. No dice. She had high hopes for the current two slice Cuisinart, but her hopes were dashed. Since email here is probably caught in the double post web, does anyone have a two slice toaster that works?

I have a Sears Kenmore two slice toaster given to us as a wedding gift 50 years ago. I works just fine - if I remember to adjust the little knob between toast & muffins.

However - that was back in the days when small kitchen appliances were made to last.
