Kubota L3130
I have a Kubota L3130 that does not start and no lights, no power whatssoever. It ran fine yesterday, dead this afternoon. One year old Battery-check, batteryterminals-check, fuses-check. Can't see any exposed or chewed wires. Anyone have any suggestions what is going on. I am stumped. Thanks....Joe

I would start by making sure the PTO switch is off. Sometimes if it is a mechanical one it is not setting correctly and not hitting the switch telling the computer its ok to start. Next check seat switch, make sure if its hydro one of the pedals isn't partially depressed. Then keep checking safety switches that seems to be the most common reason for fine yesterday and won't run today.

are you sure you checked all the fuses? I'd have to say that you would need to see where you loose the power.

Thanks Todd, I talked with Kubota service tech today and he pretty much said what you said. So I messed around with it most of the day . Jiggled all the pedals the seat, changed the battery to a brand new one, still nothing. Tomorrow I will try again and then it will be time for the kubota tech to come down. If and when he figures it out I will post. Thanks again.....Joe

If there are no dash lights or anything, it is a fusible link or ground issue, possibly a power relay if that model has one. A safety switch will not cause the dash lights not to come on when the key is on.

The model f3060 I worked on had a 50 amp main power fuse by the alternator and was missing, (caused by a idiot trying to fool the owner) there was no power to the dash, but a loose fuse would also cause this problem

Thanks for all the input guys. It turns out that it was a very simple fix. The Kubota tech came out and discovered in about 2 minutes that another power line that goes directly to the dash from the battery was not connected. I missed it , expensive lesson! .......Joe

Glad you found it. "Big" problems usually have fairly simple solutions....it' may just take some time to find them.

Thank you for your post and thread. This morning I had the same problem with the same model tractor -- checked battery and fuses -- still nothing -- totally dead. I came in for lunch and found your post and the problem was solved by just cleaning the one electrical connection. Thanks to your sharing I had no cost for parts or service. Thanks again!

How do you find this extra hot wire from your battery? Where does it go to? Is it to the ignition or one of the other relays or components?
